Nikolai Puchkov would have turned 88 years old

On the 30th of January 1930, legendary ice hockey goalkeeper and talented coach Nikolai Puchkov was born. He won the Olympic Games and an Olympic bronze medal, became a two time world champion and was a USSR champion on a number of occasions.

In 1971, he led SKA to the club's first USSR championship bronze medal. Also, with Nikolai, SKA qualified for the USSR Cup final and twice won the Spengler Cup.
