Nine year old Vova Dolnikov became a participant of the Dreams Come True charity, an organisation set up by Saint Petersburg's Children's Hospice. Vova has long been a SKA supporter, watching a lot of the team's matches and dreamed of getting closer to the team. Today, SKA helped Vova's dream to become a reality.
Ahead of the upcoming KHL match against Dinamo Minsk, SKA physical training coach Yury Zhdanov took Vova on a tour around the sports zone of the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace. After that, the young SKA fan took part in the team's game preparation and met the players. Not long before puck drop, Vova chose SKA's starting line-up for the match against HC Dinamo Minsk along with head coach Oleg Znarok.
Dreams Come True is a charity project organised by the Children's Hospice, which was the first in Russia to offer pallative care to children. Since the project was created, workers of the Children's Hospice have made thousands of children's dreams come true with the help of volunteers.
