79 years since the lifting of the Siege of Leningrad

Congratulations
HC SKA press-service

Today marks the most important date in the history of our city. Exactly 79 years ago, on the 27th of January 1944, Leningrad was completely liberated from the blockade.

On this day in 1944, Leningrad saluted its liberators with 24 artillery salvos from 324 guns.

The blockade of Leningrad is one of the most tragic and at the same time heroic stages of the Great Patriotic War. For 900 days, the city was surrounded by enemies, but it managed to survive thanks to the unparalleled courage and stamina of its defenders.

Eternal glory to those who heroically defended Leningrad!
