This was SKA's 1500th match in the Russian championship and KHL. So far, SKA have registered 823 victories, 60 draws and 617 defeats, with a goal difference of 4208-3459. The first game was on 10 September 1996 against Neftekhimik (2:2) at home. 617 matches and 221 wins were tallied in the Super League, before the remaining 883 games and 602 victories were earned in the Kontinental Hockey League.
Forward Evgeny Ketov made his 700th KHL appearance. So far, he boasts 246 (128+118) points in the league, with 116 (63+53) of them having been gained in 455 SKA matches. He has competed in more KHL games than any other player currently in our squad.
This was the first time when 18-year-old goalkeeper Yaroslav Askarov conceded three goals in a single KHL match. The fact that he only let in three goals in his 10th KHL game for SKA is a new club record.

Igor Nikitin is the third head coach to achieve a minimum of 20 wins against SKA in the KHL, following in the footsteps of Oleg Znarok and Dmitry Kvartalnov.
