Alexander Nikishin is the best defenseman of the week in the KHL!

The Kontinental Hockey League has revealed which players were the best of the past playing week.

SKA representative Alexander Nikishin has been declared the best defenseman. In three matches the 21-year-old tallied five (3+2) points, a +5 plus/minus rating, 11 shots on target, two hits and 10 blocked shots. Two of his three goals turned out to be game-winners.

Johan Mattsson of Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg is the best goaltender, the top forward is CSKA Moscow's Andrei Svetlakov and the best rookie is Lokomotiv Yaroslavl forward Stepan Nikulin.
