In Khabarovsk, SKA managed to make it two consecutive victories in the 2020/2021 KHL regular season, seeing off HC Amur by a score of 3:1.
Young forward Alexei Tsyplakov notably made his debut for our senior team.
After a tricky start, our players subsequently raced out into a 2:0 lead in the first period, as Nikita Chibrikov and Ivan Volodin both tallied their maiden league goals. Interestingly, by hitting the target, Chibrikov became the youngest player to score for SKA in the KHL at the age of 17 years and 229 days.
Vladimir Tkachyov increased the advantage to three in the second stanza.
In the third period, Amur did get on the scoreboard through Tomas Zahorna, but thanks to excellent saves from Mikhail Berdin SKA held on to emerge victorious 3:1!
SKA will now prepare to face Barys in Kazakhstan on Sunday 4 October. Puck drop is scheduled for 14:00 Moscow time.
