- I had a great holiday in which I engaged in surfing and played tennis. I have a lot of energy and I want to prove myself on the ice, while making the fans happy with victories. I feel in a positive mood.

- Who was better at surfing? You or Alexander Ovechkin?

- I did fall off sometimes.

- A lot of leading SKA players have left this summer.

- I'm ready to take the responsibility for being one of the leading players. However, this needs to be shown by my work, and not by my words. Everything has to be achieved through hard work.

- What is this SKA team capable of?

- Yes, a lot of leaders have left, but I think the new guys will help us. We will work.

- Has the preparation for the season been changed?

- As soon as the 2018/2019 season finished, I began working on improving my shot technique for two months. At 23 years of age, I have realised that it is one of the most important aspects of ice hockey. I have to hit the target more often.
