Together with the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, Rusfond launched the Hockey Fights Cancer project which draws the ice hockey world's attention to the problem of fighting child cancer.
In connection with the project, the senior Russian national team warmed up in special jerseys before the Channel One Cup match against Canada on December 16, 2017. After the game, Russia's players signed the jerseys and gave their to Rusfond for auction, where all funds raised will go towards children ill with cancer. The autographs on the jerseys are from Olympic champions such as Ilya Kovalchuk, Nikita Gusev, Kirill Kaprizov and Vasily Koshechkin.
