SKA have now earned 250 away victories in the KHL regular season. It took our club 384 matches to achieve this. 209 of the wins have been earned in regulation, 14 in overtime and 27 in penalty shootouts. The goal difference is 1227-833 in SKA's favour.
Mikko Lehtonen became the first Finnish defenseman to play for SKA. Previously, two goalkeepers and eight forwards from Finland had represented our team.
By recording three (1+2) points against Avangard Omsk in Balashikha, Mikko became the first SKA player to tally more than two points on his competitive debut for our organisation in Russian history.
The goal scored by Lehtonen in the early stages of the second period marked the 250th (136+114) point tallied by a Finnish player for SKA.
Furthermore, Lehtonen became the fourth player to score on his SKA debut in the 2021/2022 campaign, following in the footsteps of forwards Valentin Zykov, Fredrik Handemark and Mikhail Vorobyov.
Forward Andrei Kuzmenko netted his 50th KHL regular season goal for SKA in 185 games. Andrei is indeed the 14th SKA player in the league to score a minimum of 50 goals in the regular season.
