David Rundblad: "I am ready to work hard"

- How have your first days in Saint Petersburg been?

- Everything's fine, I flew in on Sunday night. I skated a little bit yesterday and I've just gone through the medical tests.

- Do you feel in shape?

- Yes. I've been working hard this summer, so hopefully I'm in shape.

- This will be your first pre-season with SKA. What can you expect?

- I don't know. It's my first time here, so I've just got to see what's coming up. I'm excited and ready to work hard.

- What will your number be?

- I asked for seven, but I haven't heard anything about it yet. SKA reached out to be in May, so when they talked to me, I didn't really speak to too many other teams. I was excited right away.

- Have you spoken with Oleg Znarok?

- No, I haven't spoken with him yet.

- What do you know about the KHL?

- I've never played here before. By looking at who plays here, you can tell it's a tough league. It will be exciting to play here.

- Before signing the contract, did you talk to anyone?

- I spoke to Patrick Thoresen, and he had only good things to say about the city and the organisation.
