SKA Hockey Club have signed a contract with Swedish defenseman David Rundblad. The agreement will last for one year.
David Rundblad was born on the 8th of October 1990. As a Chicago Blackhawks player, he won the NHL Stanley Cup. In 2011, David became a World Championship silver medalist. Before that, he claimed silver and bronze medals at World Junior Championships.
Until 2010, David played for Swedish club Skelleftea. He was picked 17th in the NHL Draft by the St. Louis Blues. In the NHL, he competed for Ottawa, Chicago and Arizona. David picked up 25 points in 113 NHL matches. He spent the last season in Switzerland, where he took 42 points and a +37 plus/minus rating in 60 regular season games.
