SKA have scored 107 goals on the road during this regular season, a new Russian championship and KHL record. The previous best of 106 was also set by SKA in the 2016/2017 season.
In his 162nd SKA appearance, Mikko Koskinen emerged from the bench for the first time. All of his other matches had been from the first minute. However, Mikko has been pulled five times, while being replaced on six occasions for an ensuing penalty shootout. This is a new club record.
Ilya Kablukov has played in 650 KHL regular season matches, registering 142 (46+96) points.
While being a SKA player, Nikita Gusev has taken 159 (57+102) points in KHL regular championships. It has taken him 135 matches to reach this landmark.
Dinamo Minsk scored six goals against SKA for the first time in 71 meetings between the two clubs. Nevertheless, in 2017's opening fixture, Dinamo did score five in Minsk in a game with SKA.
Interestingly, Dinamo Minsk are the only team this KHL season to not concede a goal against SKA when shorthanded.
For the second time in 665 KHL games, SKA conceded two goals when the goalkeeper was pulled.
