HC SKA forward Dmitrij Jaskin:

- Why did you decide to join SKA? And how long did the negotiations continue for?

- I like the ice hockey which SKA display, this is the style for me. Plus the squad is young and has plenty of talent. Saint Petersburg as a promising team which will fight for the KHL Gagarin Cup, I want to achieve this with the club. The negotiations? They continued for quite a long time, as I was waiting for offers from the NHL. However, none of them suited me, so I signed for SKA.

- You have played against SKA in Saint Petersburg in the past. What did you think of the atmosphere?

- There is always a wonderful atmosphere at the Ice Palace! It will be nice playing for them instead of against them now.

- Across your two previous campaigns in the KHL, you registered a grand total of 418 hits. Will you stick up for the younger players if required?

- Of course! Nevertheless, I am sure that our young players are also physically capable.

- When will you join up with the team?

- I will be in Novogorsk shortly after travelling to Russia and undergoing my medical procedures.

- Have you been training individually?

- Across the past seven months, I have been recovering after my injury. I've been training both on and off the ice, so I should be fine.

- Do you know any members of the SKA playing squad or coaching staff?

- I know Alexander Volkov well, we trained together during the summer. I'm familiar with a lot of the guys here, we've regularly played against each other.

- Can you say something for Saint Petersburg's supporters? They had long been waiting for you to sign.

- I am really happy to join such a big team like SKA! I can't wait for our first home match with the fans. See you all soon!
