The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has revealed which players were the best of the past week.
SKA goaltender Dmitry Nikolaev has been named the best rookie. In two matches, the 21-year-old helped SKA defeat Neftekhimik in Nizhnekamsk (8:2) and Ak Bars in Kazan (4:3 OT), saving 44 of the 49 shots (89.80%) he faced. Dmitry's goals against average in the two games was 2.44.
The best goalkeeper is Severstal Cherepovets' Vladislav Podyapolsky, the top defenseman is Trevor Murphy of Sibir Novosibirsk and the best forward is Dynamo Moscow's Stanislav Galiev.
