The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has revealed which players were the best of the past playing week.
18-year-old SKA representative Yaroslav Askarov has been crowned the best goalkeeper and the best rookie. In three matches, the teenage goaltender helped SKA earn two victories, earning a 97.44% save percentage, a goals against average of 0.74 and a shutout in the 2:0 victory against Spartak in Moscow. Yaroslav stopped 76 of 78 shots he faced across the three games.
Salavat Yulaev's Teemu Hartikainen is the best forward and Juuso Hietanen of Dynamo Moscow is the top defenseman.
