Defenceman Yegor Yakovlev, who most recently represented HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, has signed a three year contract with SKA Hockey Club. SKA vice-president Roman Rotenberg commented on the move:

Yegor Yakovlev was born in 1991 in Magnitogorsk, Russia. He came through Metallurg Magnitogorsk's hockey school, and now weighs 80 kg standing at 184 centimeters tall. He has made 180 KHL appearances, picking up 33 points (14+19). He is a Russian national team player, and with his country he became a 2014 world champion while taking a silver medal from the 2015 World Championship in Prague. He is an honoured Russian Master Of Sports.
