Goalkeeper Alexander Samonov made his 10th appearance for the senior Russian national team. In those matches, Russia have earned four regulation victories and a further two wins in penalty shootouts. Only Vladimir Shepovalov (14), Igor Shestyorkin (18) and Maxim Sokolov (23) have participated in more games for Russia's senior national team among SKA goaltenders.

Forward Vladislav Tsitsyura dished out an assist on his debut for the senior national team.

Fellow forwards Vladislav Kamenev (1+0), Emil Galimov (0+1) and Kirill Marchenko (0+2) tallied their maiden points for the senior Russian national team.

Defenseman Dinar Khafizullin is the 13th SKA player to play for Russia in 40 games. In those matches with the senior national team, he has picked up 12 (3+9) points.

Both defenseman Igor Ozhiganov (1+2) and forward Vasily Podkolzin (2+7) participated in their 10th match for the senior Russian national team.

Forward Pavel Kukshtel made his debut for the senior national team.

In his eighth match, fellow forward Evgeny Timkin scored his first goal for Russia.
