Forward Ilya Kablukov, who won the KHL Gagarin Cup twice with SKA and the 2018 Olympic Games with the Russian national team, shared his emotions after leaving the club:
- My seven years with SKA were great moments of my career. When I joined SKA during the 2013/2014 campaign, I said that I wanted to fight for the Gagarin Cup. We managed to win it twice. Of course, it's impossible to forget the decisive matches in Kazan and Magnitogorsk, the fans' greeting at the airport and the championship parades in Saint Petersburg.
I want to thank all coaches for these victories, the management for inviting me to Saint Petersburg and my teammates. Without them, it wouldn't have been possible to win. I was called up to the national team from SKA, receiving the opportunity to participate at the Olympic Games. Olympic gold is the pinnacle of any athlete's career, and this triumph will always stay with us.
Thank you to all SKA fans, I can't remember a game at the Ice Palace which wasn't sold out. It's very important for us to play in such a fantastic atmosphere. SKA have ideal facilities for player development, and I want everyone who subsequently joins the club to try just as hard for the team as we did. Thank you and good luck!
