Jori Lehtera: "I immediately agreed to join SKA"

- How did your holidays go?

- I had a good, but short, holiday. I'm ready to work.

- How long did you think about joining SKA?

- I wanted to come right away, this is the best organisation in Europe and the best team too. It was an easy choice for me. I didn't need to ask for advice from anyone.

- Was there a chance to remain in the NHL?

- I didn't negotiate with any NHL teams. When I got the call from SKA, I was immediately ready to come.

- Have you taken a look at the city at all?

- I think we are going to start our training camp somewhere in Moscow. I was last here five years ago, so it's a bit of a new place for me. I know the city is really nice and I can't wait to walk about the city and look at the places.

- Did you speak to Vladimir Tarasenko about moving to SKA?

- Yes, he said lots of good things.

- Does it help having some Finnish players on the SKA roster?

- Of course it's always fun when you have some other guys from your home country. Why not.

- SKA will play on the smaller ice.

- When I signed here, I was expecting to play on a European rink, but now they've changed it to a Canadian-sized rink. I played in the NHL for five years, so I think it will be easier for me.
