There have been changes to the SKA-1946 management group. Ilya Gorbushin has been named the head coach, with Andrei Mironov, Andrei Kiselyov, Anton Kadeikin, Ilya Grebennikov and Andrei Komissarov set to work as the coaches.

The changes have been made in order to strengthen the sporting vertical from the MHL (SKA-1946, SKA-Varyagi) to the VHL (SKA-Neva) and subsequently to the KHL (SKA), and also to improve the coordination and communication within the SKA system. The new management group will coach the team tomorrow in the upcoming 2021/2022 MHL regular season match against Loko Yaroslavl.

Ilya Gorbushin is a product of the SKA academy. As a professional ice hockey player, he previously held the record of the youngest player to register three points in one competitive game for SKA (17 years, seven months) until 16-year-old Matvei Michkov set a new personal best for the club this KHL campaign. In the past, Ilya also worked as the head coach of SKA-1946, leading the team to the final of the MHL Kharlamov Cup.

Andrei Mironov has worked with SKA system teams for more than 10 years. Moreover, he was a member of the under 18 Russian national team's management group for the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which the team won for the second consecutive season.S

SKA Hockey Club thanks Dmitry Vershinin and Vladimir Potapov for their efforts in Saint Petersburg, wishing them luck for the future!
