SKA players helped the SPBBOOPDI Umka and SPB GBSUSO PNI NO.7 social institutions in Saint Petersburg.
The players transferred funds to Umka, while sending textbooks and educational materials to the latter organisation. Both instutitions find themselves in a challenging situation as a direct result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The SPBBOOPDI Umka institution has been working with disabled children and cancer patients for 15 years. Its activities are aimed at assisting the development, protection and social adaptation of the children, as well as raising funds for the purchase of medicines for their oncology treatment. In the past, SKA have regularly cooperated with Umka, with players visiting the institution.
The SPB GBSUSO PNI NO.7 is an institution which was opened in October 1975. The main goal of the institution is to provide social services to those who are not able to look after themselves either partially or fully, suffer from psychological disorders and disabled people of working age who have development disorders. Since March 11, the institution has been closed as a consequence of the coronavirus outbreak, and there has not been enough materials for classes. SKA players purchased and sent more than 100 goods to the organisation.
