HC SKA forward Kirill Marchenko:

- The atmosphere inside the Ice Palace was superb today, so thank you to the fans for their amazing support! Both of these teams know each other very well, so it's tough for everyone to score. It's important that we scored on the powerplay and saw the game out successfully.

- Did the team applaud you in the dressing room?

- My goal wasn't the only reason why we won. I would like to thank Magnus Hellberg and our defensemen, they were fantastic. All of the players contributed to this victory.

- What happened for your goal? It seemed as though you didn't shoot the puck as you had planned.

- I tried to control the puck with my leg before shooting. It's hard to describe exactly what happened, but the main thing is that it went in.

- In comparison to the first match, what did you change in your approach?

- We're not going to reveal any details, but we made changes to how we played in the opposing zone. As a consequence of our strong performance, Dynamo Moscow didn't have many counter-attack opportunities. We had the majority of scoring chances.

Kirill Marchenko: "The fans created an amazing atmosphere"

- There were moments when the players simply couldn't control the puck. Was this because of the quality of the ice, or did the tension take its toll?

- These things happen sometimes. We need to maintain concentration all of the time.

- You are playing well when in one line with Ivan Morozov and Vasily Podkolzin.

- We really do have excellent mutual-understanding. I've known Ivan since I was 10, and Vasily since I was 16. We've spent a lot of time together! We're friends off the ice too, so we find it easy to discuss the details of the game. We understand each other.

- Did the injury suffered by Evgeny Ketov affect you?

- To be honest, I couldn't quite see what happened. I think that we gained energy from that incident, he competed in a physical manner against a leading Dynamo player.

- Will the upcoming matches in the series be contested in a similar manner?

- We will see what happens, the playoffs are always unpredictable. The most important thing for us is to continue improving and playing to win.
