Overtime was required, but SKA eventually defeated HC Kunlun Red Star 3:2 in China to keep the winning streak going in the 2019/2020 KHL regular season.
Anton Belov and Alexander Dergachyov gave SKA a 2-0 lead early in the second stanza with two quick-fire goals.
Nevertheless, Kunlun did come back, and they forced overtime with an equaliser scored just six minutes before the end of the game.
Kirill Marchenko, who had scored his maiden KHL marker in the previous game, struck gold to secure a dramatic 3:2 victory!
SKA will now prepare to play HC Admiral in Vladivostok on Sunday.
