In his 112th competitive appearance for SKA, forward Joonas Kemppainen scored his first shorthanded goal for our club. His only previous shorthanded marker in the KHL arrived on 19 September 2016 for Sibir Novosibirsk against Jokerit Helsinki (4:0).
Furthermore, Joonas is the first SKA player to score a shorthanded goal against Lokomotiv in Yaroslavl in the KHL. Previously, SKA's only shorthanded goal in a match with these particular opponents had been scored on 26 March 2014 in Saint Petersburg (2:3).
In 372 away matches in KHL regular seasons, SKA have now conceded 100 defeats in regulation time. 203 regulation wins have also been registered.
Defenseman Viktor Antipin is the first of last summer's signings to participate in 50 games for SKA in the league. So far, he has tallied 11 (2+9) points for our team. His maiden penalty had been taken in his 37th match.
