The 2019 KHL Skills Competition took place in Kazan

In Kazan, the 2019 KHL All Star Weekend began with the Skills Competition at the Tatneft Arena.

First up was the Speed Test, with young SKA Saint Petersburg forward Alexei Marchenko participating after being promoted from the MHL Challenge Cup. HC Dynamo Moscow player Dmitry Kagarlitsky won three points for the Bobrov Division.

HC Avangard Omsk Igor Bobkov then stopped all six shots in the Reliable Defence competition to give the Chernyshev Division three points. The Chernyshev Division then also won the Ice Hockey Quality Marathon and Shot Accuracy competitions, before the Tarasov Division clinched the Shot Strength contest and the Ice Hockey Biathlon.

Tomorrow, at 16.00 local time, the 2019 KHL All Star Game will take place with the Chernyshev, Kharlamov, Bobrov and Tarasov divisions all competing against each other.

Chernyshev Division - 9 points

Tarasov Division - 6 points

Bobrov Division - 5 points

Kharlamov Division - 3 points
