This was SKA's largest ever victory against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the domestic championship, beating the previous record of 7:2 which was set on 8 October 2009 in Saint Petersburg. Previously, SKA's biggest win against these particular opponents in Nizhnekamsk had been by a score of 5:0 on 6 January 2013.

Goaltender Dmitry Nikolaev earned his first KHL win for SKA. 21 different goalkeepers have now earned at least one victory for SKA in the league.
