SKA have signed a contract with Olympic champion and KHL Gagarin Cup winner Nikita Gusev. The agreement with the forward will run until 30 April 2022. With SKA Hockey Club, Nikita will wear the number 97 on his jersey.
In the past, Nikita represented SKA between 2015 and 2019, picking up 318 (104+214) points in 272 competitive appearances. Gusev does indeed occupy second place in the list of SKA top scorers.
Nikita Gusev is a forward born on 8 July 1992 in Moscow, Russia. He stands 180 centimeters all and weighs 80 kilograms. Initially, he started his professional career in the CSKA Moscow system, winning the MHL Kharlamov Cup. In 2015, he made the move to SKA from Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, subsequently winning the 2017 Gagarin Cup and becoming the Most Valuable Player of the KHL. Nikita spent the past two seasons in the NHL after moving to the New Jersey Devils in 2019.
With the Russian national team, Nikita won a silver medal at the 2012 World Junior Championship, a bronze medal at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships and gold at the 2018 Olympic Games. Gusev was the top scorer of the Olympics and dished out more assists than anyone else.
