Nikolai Khabibulin is the goalkeeping coach in the SKA development camp

1992 Olympic champion, Nikolai Khabibulin, is the goalkeeping coach for the SKA development camp. It will begin on July 2 at the Hockey City multifunctional complex. Over the course of 10 days, young players will work on power skating, physical and theory training and their technical ability. Six SKA system goalkeepers will participate: Pyotr Kochetkov, Alexei Melnichuk, Nikita Melnichuk, Yaroslav Askarov, Dmitry Nikolaev and Evgeny Khvostov. SKA individual goalkeeping coach, Marko Torenius, will coach them alongside Nikolai Khabibulin.

Nikolai Khabibulin is a goalkeeper, an honoured Russian Master of Sport, a 1992 Olympic champion and the first Russian goaltender to win the Stanley Cup. He played for Avtomobilist, CSKA and Ak Bars in Russia, while in the NHL, he was on the books of Winnipeg, Tampa Bay, Phoenix, Edmonton and Chicago. Winner of the World Junior Championship. Participant of the NHL All-Star Game, best goalkeeper of the 2002 Olympic Games.
