Today, at 17.00 Moscow time, SKA will compete against Traktor Chelyabinsk on the road in the 2021/2022 KHL regular season.
This will be the second meeting between these teams this season. On September 29, SKA completed a dramatic three-goal comeback at the Ice Palace in Saint Petersburg, emerging victorious by a score of 4:3 following a dramatic penalty shootout. Kirill Marchenko, Igor Ozhiganov and Andrei Kuzmenko scored in regulation time for our team, before Marchenko subsequently netted twice in the ensuing shootout.
Traktor are currently occupying second spot in the Eastern Conference with 57 points from 39 matches. Enjoying an excellent campaign, the Chelyabinsk-based outfit are always difficult to beat, especially taking into account the impressive firepower they boast with the likes of forwards Lukas Sedlak, Tomas Hyka, Teemu Pulkkinen and the in-form Nikita Tertyshny. Anvar Gatiyatulin's men are coming off the back of two successive home wins against Spartak Moscow (4:1) and Kunlun Red Star Beijing (3:2 OT).
Thanks to three important consecutive victories against Dinamo Minsk (home, 2:1), Jokerit Helsinki (home, 3:1) and Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg (away, 1:0), SKA are only three points behind Western Conference leaders Jokerit with a game in hand.
KHL PRIME, Match TV and Channel 78 (Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Region only) will provide a television broadcast in Russia, whereas you can watch a live video on the KHL's official website worldwide. Text updates will be available on our Twitter account.
