SKA Hockey Club and forward Pavel Datsyuk have signed a two year contract. Pavel will wear the number 13 with our club.
Pavel Valerevich Datsyuk is a Russian ice hockey forward born on the 20th of July 1978. He began his career with Yunost Yekaterinburg, and before leaving for the NHL, he competed for Spartak Yekaterinburg and Ak Bars Kazan. In 2001, he signed for the Detroit Red Wings, and he won the Stanley Cup in 2002 and 2008. Overall in the NHL, he competed in 1110 matches, took 1031 points and tallied up a plus/minus rating of +283. During the 2004/2005 NHL lockout, he returned to Russia to play for HC Dynamo Moscow. During that time, he won the Russian championship. As a player for the Russian national team, he has won an Olympic bronze medal in 2002 and was crowned a world champion in 2012. Pavel has been invited to take part in four NHL All Star Games, and is a four time holder of the Lady Byng Trophy. Also, he won the Selke and Kharmalov Trophies on three occasions.
