For long periods, it appeared as though SKA were taking HC Salavat Yulaev to overtime in Ufa, but a last-gasp goal from Teemu Hartikainen earned a dramatic 2:1 victory for the hosts in the 2018/2019 KHL regular season duel in Bashkortostan.

Coming off the back of a disappointing penalty shootout defeat to CSKA Moscow at home, our players were hungry to get back to winning ways in Ufa, and Nikita Gusev opened the scoring in the first period with a beautiful effort. However, in the second stanza, former SKA forward Anton Burdasov equalised for the hosts.

Incredibly, with just 19 seconds remaining on the clock in the third frame, the puck cannoned off Teemu Hartikainen's face and rolled past the stricken Igor Shestyorkin to hand Salavat the 2:1 victory.
