For the first time in history, SKA have defeated Salavat Yulaev Ufa in Bashkortostan in three successive games. This particular streak started on 15 February 2020.
SKA earned a shutout against Salavat Yulaev for the first time in the KHL. Overall, this means that SKA have tallied a minimum of one shutout against all clubs currently participating in the KHL. Across 14 KHL seasons, SKA have competed with 34 different teams, earning at least one clean sheet against 33 of them. The only exception is Ukrainian organisation Donbass Donetsk.
The last occasion when SKA didn't concede a goal against Salavat Yulaev was in Ufa on 25 February 1998, when goaltender Maxim Sokolov registered a shutout to help our team win 1:0.
Goalkeeper Lars Johansson has picked up shutouts in three consecutive KHL regular season games for the first time in his career. Furthermore, Lars only required 11 appearances to earn five shutouts for SKA, a club record. The previous record belonged to Robert Esche, who required 17 matches to reach five shutouts.
Forward Anton Burdasov has gained 155 (77+78) points in 300 competitive matches for SKA. He is the 12th SKA player to participate in 300 KHL games for our organisation.
Defenseman Mat Robinson and Johansson dished out their maiden assists for SKA. Johansson is the 14th goaltender to earn an assist for SKA in the KHL.
For the first time in the KHL, forward Vladislav Tsitsyura scored two goals in one match and netted the game-winner.
