In Novosibirsk, SKA produced a productive display to battle past HC Sibir, earning a thrilling 6:4 triumph on the road in the 2020/2021 KHL regular season.

Forwards and new signings Yakov Trenin, Mikhail Maltsev and Dmitry Zavgorodniy all made their SKA debuts

Initially, Sibir did open up a commanding two-goal lead in the first period, as Viktor Komarov and Dmitry Sayustov managed to beat Mikhail Berdin.

Nevertheless, in a stunning second stanza, Andrei Kuzmenko, Vladimir Tkachyov, Yaroslav Dyblenko and Arseniy Brinkman all scored to suddenly hand SKA a 4:3 advantage.

In the ensuing third period, Anton Belov and Miro Aaltonen - with the net empty - both hit the target, in turn securing a 6:4 triumph after Sibir had made it 4:4 at the start of the frame.

SKA will now prepare to face Amur in Khabarovsk on October 2. Puck drop is scheduled for 12:00 Moscow time.
