This summer, current Florida Panthers goalkeeper and previous NHL Vezina Trophy winner Sergei Bobrovsky held master-classes at the Hockey City complex in Saint Petersburg.
Players of the SKA Academy participated in the classes.
Goaltenders from Saint Petersburg, Leningrad Region, the Republic of Karelia and Veliky Novgorod were presented with the opportunity to train with and learn from one of the best Russian goalkeepers of his generation. Each training session was adapted to the age of the goaltenders participating in it.
Furthermore, all participants were given the chance to speak to Bobrovsky and take his autograph.
- When I have the opportunity, I try to stage such training sessions. I think that it's useful for goalkeepers, especially those who are just starting out. The guys found it interesting, I could see how enthusiastic they were on the ice. My job is to motivate the guys and give them important tips.
