Sergei PlotnikovPre-season training
HC SKA press-service

- How was your summer?

- I tried to relax from all physical activities. However, after a bit of time, I started training more. Over the past two weeks, I have been skating with the guys here. I enjoyed my last few days of holiday before the pre-season.

- Do you feel good physically?

- Yes, I played at the World Championship and I don't have any problems. I had a planned operation. Overall, everything's fine.

- Are you expecting anything new to occur this pre-season?

- No, I think it will be the same as before. I am preparing for the training camps.

- The Olympic Games are coming up next year.

- It's too early to talk about that. The Olympics are still a long time away, and I have to try and make the roster. First of all, I have to think about training and getting ready for the first matches.

Sergei Plotnikov: "It's too early to think about the Olympics"

- You and Artyom Zub took the Gagarin Cup to Khabarovsk.

- There were a lot of children, the event was organised mainly for them in order to make ice hockey more popular in the Far East. They need to realise that they can become great players and can play at a professional level.

- Do you know any of SKA's new players?

- Most of them.

- Will the competition inside the team be higher?

- It's high every year, all of the players will try and play at their best.
