HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- We can be proud of our guys today. They showed superb character and determination, competing in the correct manner tactically. We discovered how we could break down sturdy defences. Thanks to crashing the net hard, we managed to score great goals. Ak Bars are a top side with a hugely experienced coach. At this moment in time, I want to wish Valentin Zykov a speedy recovery, we fought for him after he was forced to leave the game with his injury. I hope that the refereeing department will review that happened for that incident.

HC Ak Bars Kazan head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov:

- It was certainly an entertaining game which the fans enjoyed. As a consequence of our mistakes, we ended up conceding poor goals. Did we think about swapping our goalkeeper? Yes, we did, but we decided that we were going to allow Timur Bilyalov to play the full game.

HC SKA forward Dmitrij Jaskin:

- It really was a fantastic game! Given that it was a match between the two leading teams of the conferences, we knew that it was going to be a thriller. We're really happy that we managed to prove our worth and score so many goals, it was vital after our recent game against Yaroslavl in which we played our best ice hockey of the campaign.

HC SKA forward Emil Galimov:

- The supporters found it an interesting game! We had a great atmosphere on the bench, everyone supported one another and we competed solely for the benefit of the team. We competed as a united group and achieved the desired result.
