SKA have claimed 500 victories in 722 KHL regular season matches. 420 wins were tallied in regulation, 34 in overtime and the remaining 46 in penalty shootouts. 263 triumphs arrived at home and 237 on the road. Overall, SKA are the first club to tally 500 regular season wins in the KHL, with CSKA Moscow currently in second place of the ranking with 479 victories to their name.
This was the first time when SKA scored seven goals against Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg at home in the KHL, beating the previous record of six goals (6:2) which was registered on 13 September 2017. SKA, however, had netted eight against Avtomobilist in Saint Petersburg on 7 March 1989 (8:2). Interestingly, in that particular game, famous goalkeeper Nikolai Khabibulin made his professional debut for Avtomobilist.
Defenseman Igor Ozhiganov has earned 150 (43+107) points in 461 KHL matches. 35 (6+29) have been gained in 70 competitive SKA games.
Forwards Anton Burdasov and Kirill Marchenko both set new personal scoring records for SKA in the KHL. By tallying SKA's fifth goal of the encounter against Avtomobilist, Anton scored his 15th of the campaign (beating his previous best of 14), while Kirill grabbed his 11th marker of the season (beating his previous best of 10) as he registered our second goal of the match.
Fellow forward Stepan Starkov scored his first goal and dished out his maiden assist for SKA in the KHL in his third game. Moreover, this was the first occasion when the 21-year-old tallied more than one point in a single KHL match.
