For the first time in the KHL Gagarin Cup playoffs, three SKA players picked up four points in one single match: Evgeny Ketov (2+2), Joonas Kemppainen (1+3) and Vladimir Tkachyov (0+4).
Forward Vladimir Tkachyov matched Nikita Gusev's SKA record of four assists in one Gagarin Cup playoff game. The original record was set by Gusev on 13 March 2016 against Dynamo Moscow in Saint Petersburg (4:0).
SKA players have now tallied four points in a KHL playoff match on 12 occasions.
Boasting 34 (17+17) points in the current campaign, forward Joonas Kemppainen now holds the record for the highest amount of SKA points earned by a Finnish player in one KHL season, beating Jarno Koskiranta's best of 33 (19+14) points from the 2015/2016 season. Furthermore, Kemppainen set a new record among Finnish players in terms of assists in one campaign, overtaking Jori Lehtera who registered 15 last year.
For the first time since joining SKA, Joonas scored one goal and made three assists in one competitive match. Moreover, for the first time in the playoffs, he recorded a +4 plus/minus rating.
Fellow forward Vladimir Tkachyov also set a series of personal records:
- First KHL match with four assists;
- First KHL match with four points;
- First KHL Gagarin Cup playoff match with a plus/minus rating of +3.
For the first time in 877 Russian championship matches, forward Evgeny Ketov tallied four (2+2) points in one game, and it was also the maiden occasion on which he picked up a +4 plus/minus rating in the Gagarin Cup playoffs.
This is the first time when young forward Ivan Morozov has gained points in four consecutive KHL games. Interestingly, Ivan has tallied at least one point in each of his five appearances against Dinamo Minsk, picking up a grand total of nine (4+5) points in matches with the Belarusians.
