For their part, Dynamo have beaten SKA twice in the playoffs, with their wins having been earned in the third round in 2012 and 2013.

Only Jakub Stepanek (24) and Mikko Koskinen (67) have competed in more playoff matches for SKA among goaltenders.
Furthermore, just like Stepanek, Magnus has gained 14 victories and four shutouts in the playoffs for SKA. It's worth noting that he certainly enjoys playing against Dynamo Moscow, with the Swede having earned seven wins and three clean sheets in eight games with these particular opponents.
SKA have knocked Dynamo out of the playoffs by a series score of 4-1 three times.
Despite losing all four matches against Dynamo in the 2020/2021 regular season, SKA comfortably defeated the Muscovites in the ensuing playoffs. Interestingly, back in the 2014/2015 campaign, SKA also sent Dynamo packing 4-1 in the second round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs after conceding four defeats in four regular-season matches. SKA went on to win the championship in that particular season.
