SKA have agreed on a new contract with Matvei Michkov
SKA Hockey Club have agreed on a new contract with forward Matvei Michkov. The deal will run for five years until the completion of the 2025/2026 campaign.

Matvei Michkov was born on 9 December 2004 in Perm, Russia. He stands 178 centimeters tall and weighs 72 kilograms. In the 2018/2019 season, he broke Alexander Ovechkin's record by registering 109 (70+39) points in 26 Moscow Championship appearances. During the same campaign, he helped Russia win the Youth Olympic Games, tallying 14 (9+5) points in four matches. Matvei moved to SKA ahead of the 2020/2021 season. In the current MHL regular season, he has played for both SKA-1946 and SKA-Varyagi, earning 25 (16+9) points in 24 games. At the moment he is the top scorer for SKA-1946 and the third leading goalscorer in the MHL.
