SKA and Torpedo have agreed on a trade

SKA Hockey Club and HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod have agreed on a trade.

Torpedo receive the rights to goalkeeper Alexei Melnichuk, while SKA acquire the rights to Finnish forward Jesse Puljujärvi.

Alexei Melnichuk progressed through the SKA system, playing for SKA-1946 in the MHL, SKA Neva in the VHL and the senior SKA team in the KHL.

Jesse Puljujärvi is a 22-year-old forward who has won the both the under 18 and under 20 World Championships with Finland. At the moment, he is playing for Karpat Oulu in his home country. In 2016, he was the fourth pick by the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL Draft, subseqeuntly tallying 37 (17+20) points in 139 NHL appearances.
