SKA have signed a two-year contract with Alexander Samonov

SKA Hockey Club have signed a new contract with Alexander Samonov. The agreement with the goalkeeper runs for two seasons until 30 April 2024.
Alexander Samonov was born on 23 August 1995 in Moscow, Russia. He began to play ice hockey with the Yasenevo school. With Dynamo Saint Petersburg, Alexander won the VHL Petrov Cup. He was named the MVP of the 2018 VHL playoffs. On the international stage, he has won the Winter Universiade. Alexander joined SKA in October 2019, subsequently winning the Russian championship silver medal and KHL bronze on two occasions. He has made 61 SKA appearances so far, registering an average save percentage of 91.8%.
