SKA have signed a new contract with Joonas Kemppainen

SKA Hockey Club have signed a new contract with Finnish forward Joonas Kemppainen. The new agreement will last for one season until 30 April 2022.

Joonas Kemppainen was born on 7 April 1988 in Kajaani, Finland. Before joining SKA in 2019, he had played for Assat, Jukurit, HPK, Karpat Oulu, the Boston Bruins, Sibir Novosibirsk and Salavat Yulaev Ufa. He is a two-time Finnish champion, and a participant of the Olympic Games and the World Championship with Finland's senior national team.

In 2020, he won the Russian championship silver medal with SKA, before subsequently earning a bronze medal of the 2020/2021 KHL campaign. He registered 35 (18+17) points last season for our team.
