Defensemen Nikita Kamalov and Nikita Lisov made their debuts for SKA in the KHL. Furthermore, Lisov became the first SKA player to play for the senior team with the number 60 on his jersey.

For only the second time, SKA have conceded five defeats in a row in the KHL regular season, repeating the anti-record which was originally set between the 15th and 26th of October 2019 (two home losses, three away losses). This time around, SKA have suffered four setbacks in Saint Petersburg and one on the road.

In 50 matches for the senior SKA team, forward Vladislav Tsitsyura has contributed with 12 (5+7) points and is yet to take a single penalty. The fact that Tsitsyura still hasn't taken a penalty is a new club record among skaters, beating Alexander Golts' record from the 2004/2005 campaign when he took his maiden penalty for SKA in his 42nd game.

Fellow forward Joonas Kemppainen dished out an assist to pick up his first point against his former employers. When he played for Sibir, Joonas had managed to tally two goals against SKA. He is the fifth KHL player to earn points for both SKA and Sibir.
