SKA - Severstal - 2:0
SKA were given a tough test by HC Severstal Cherepovets, but thanks to a Pavel Datsyuk brace in the second stanza, the team earned a 2:0 victory at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace in the 2018/2019 KHL regular season.
After a goalless, and rather uneventful, first period, SKA burst into life in the second, as captain Pavel Datsyuk cut to the slot in his traditional manner and backhanded the puck between the goalkeeper's pads. Just 11 minutes, the Magic Man doubled his tally for the match, pouncing to expertly knock a rebound into the net with the goaltender out of the picture.
Young goalkeeper Igor Shestyorkin saved 32 Severstal shots to tally another KHL shutout and see SKA through to a 2:0 victory!
