The fourth goal marked SKA's 150th of the 2020/2021 KHL campaign. It took our team 50 matches to reach this landmark. Interestingly, Anton Burdasov has scored both the 100th (Traktor - SKA - 1:5, December 5) and 150th (SKA - Severstal - 4:1, January 27) markers for SKA this season. Anton is the first player to score SKA's 100th and 150th goals in one campaign.
This was the 100th official game between SKA and Severstal. The first match was held on 4 December 1968 in the USSR Cup, with SKA claiming a 5:1 victory in that particular match in Vologda Region. Overall, SKA have earned 55 wins and seven draws against Severstal, while the Cherepovets-based organisation have tallied 38 wins. The goal difference is 287-234 in SKA's favour.
In his 550th KHL match, Anton Burdasov reached 256 (136+120) points in the league, with 129 (65+64) of them having been registered in 261 games as a SKA player. He earned a combined total of 127 (71+56) points when representing Traktor Chelyabinsk, Avangard Omsk, CSKA Moscow and Salavat Yulaev Ufa.
Severstal are the only opponents which SKA have played against in every single campaign since 1991. During that period, 94 players and three coaches have been on Severstal's and SKA's books at different times. Furthermore, the two largest winning streaks (26 overall, 16 at home) have been gained against Cherepovets.
Forward Vladimir Tkachyov made his 100th official SKA appearance. So far, he has tallied 83 (26+57) points for our club.
This is the first campaign when Anton Burdasov has scored more than 20 goals in one KHL regular season. His previous best was 19 goals for Salavat Yulaev in the 2018/2019 campaign. Moreover, 32 (21+11) points in one season is a new SKA record for Anton, beating his haul of 31 (14+17) which was earned in the 2015/2016 season.
Boasting 34 (15+19) points to date in 48 games of the 2020/2021 campaign, fellow forward Andrei Kuzmenko has set a new personal best concerning the amount of points gained in one KHL regular season. His previous record was 33 (14+19) last year (49 matches).
Defenseman Lukas Bengtsson now holds 17 (3+14) points this season, beating last year's total of 16 (3+13).
