On December 4, a ceremony took place dedicated to the "Investor of the Year" award.
The prize is awarded to the best investment projects in eight categories: preservation of historical and culture sites, development of territories, transport infrastructure, consumer market, industry, tourism, social sphere and the implementation of the city's best strategic project.
In the "For the implementation of the best investment project for in the social sphere" category, HC SKA became the winner for the Hockey City project. SKA vice-president Roman Rotenberg, who received the prize from Saint Petersburg governor, thanked the city's administration, governor Gennady Poltavenko and Gazprom for the assistance in making the project become a reality. He also pointed out the importance of constructing sporting and social facilities in Saint Petersburg in order to promote a healthy lifestyle and to help the development of youth ice hockey in the city.
