In a dramatic encounter, SKA managed to see of HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in overtime, earning a thrilling 3:2 triumph at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace.

Initially, Torpedo took the lead in the eighth minute, but SKA quickly responded with two quick-fire markers from Andrei Kuzmenko and Jarno Koskiranta.

Mikhail Varnakov, who used to play for SKA in the past, equalised for the visitors during the second stanza.

Eventually, the duel went to overtime, where Alexander Barabanov forced the puck over the line to earn an exciting 3:2 victory!
