HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod head coach Igor Larionov:

- I think that we all enjoyed good ice hockey today. I want to congratulate my guys with the fact that they believed that they could beat the KHL's leading team, this was an important game given that it was our last meeting against SKA in the regular season. We gave our young guys an opportunity and they used it. Furthermore, I am happy for Ivan Kulbakov who produced a brilliant performance in net to get back on track. At the same time, we know that SKA have already long qualified for the playoffs and probably aren't too bothered about winning every game.

HC SKA head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- January is a really tough month for us. Nonetheless, I actually thought that it was going to be even more difficult. In order to score goals, we have to crash the net hard and unleash more shots. I think that we will see a different SKA on the ice on Wednesday. This is an important point for us, and I really liked how Vladislav Podyapolsky competed in our net.

HC SKA defenseman Grigory Gryaznov:

- I think that everyone understands that we wanted to achieve a different result today. Both goaltenders were solid, they made plenty of big saves.

HC SKA forward Vladislav Tsitsyura:

- The main thing for us is to draw the required conclusions and show what we're capable of in our next game. When playing against a team like Nizhny Novgorod, you can't afford to leave gaps between the lines. Five players must compete in defence and five in attack.
