For the first time, SKA have conceded two successive defeats to Traktor Chelyabinsk in the KHL, with both losses arriving at home. The previous setback to these opponents was by a score of 1:2 on 5 October 2019 at the Saint Petersburg Ice Palace.

The last time when SKA had suffered two consecutive losses to Traktor in the domestic championship was between 14 April 1982 and 18 September 1983 when SKA came up short in four matches in a row against these particular opponents.

Until Traktor's marker, Yaroslav Askarov hadn't conceded a single goal in 144 minutes and 14 seconds, a new record for SKA goalkeepers under the age of 19. The previous record belonged to Evgeny Belosheykin (135 minutes) in November 1983.

Swedish defenseman Lukas Bengtsson made his 50th competitive appearance for SKA. So far, he possesses 29 (6+23) points with our team.

Traktor boss Anvar Gatiyatulin became the 25th KHL coach to not concede any goals against SKA in regulation and overtime. Furthermore, Ivan Fedotov is the 29th goaltender in the league to tally a shutout in a game with SKA, as he saved all 26 shots he faced.
